Come out tonight (4/28/2010) to beat the snow, and support Slow Food Vermont at Bluebird Tavern! Eat some great food, learn about SFVT, and help support our great organization! 10% of the evening’s proceeds goes directly to SFVT! Free seeds to anyone that would like to start or renew a membership! Hope to see you there!

The Slow Food International organization is over 20 years old and has been the global leader at mobilizing world citizens to celebrate and preserve seeds, breeds, and foodways. Recently, there has been a refocusing of energies within the organization, particularly with Slow Food USA and the 200+ chapters within the organization. Long thought of as an exclusive dining club, SFUSA is succeeding in creating dramatic and lasting change in the food system; reconnecting Americans with the people, traditions, plants, animals, soils and waters that produce our food. They are actively transforming food policy, production practices and market forces so that they ensure equity, sustainability, and pleasure in the food we eat.

Come find out how Slow Food Vermont is participating in this movement, and how you can get involved in sharing Vermont’s grassroots vision with a global audience as well as learn from other world communities that are working to ensure that all of our food is good, clean and fair!

Slow Food Vermont: Creating community through the celebration of good, clean and fair food – locally and globally.
