Local-Crafted “Slow Cocktails”

Mix up one of these beauties to enjoy at the Annual Gathering (or any other time)!

Winter Cardinal
provided by Eden Specialty Ciders

  • 1 oz. Orleans Bitter Aperitif

  • 1 oz. Vodka (use White Whiskey if you can get it)

  • 2 oz. San Pellegrino Aranciata Rosso soda (Blood Orange)

  • Orange peel, sprig of thyme

Add the first two ingredients to a rocks glass with ice. Stir well. Add the Blood orange soda. Run the orange peel around the rim, then the sprig of thyme, then muddle them to the bottom of the glass.

Perfect West West ("Rural Manhattan")
by Parish Hill Creamery

  • 2 ounces Vermont rye or bourbon whiskey

  • 1/2 ounce Boreas sweet vermouth

  • 1/2 ounce Zephyr dry vermouth

  • 2 dashes bitters

  • preserved cherry

Serve up or over with a wedge of Parish Hill Creamery's West West or Jack's Blue.

Vermont Quarantine Quoffee
by Kate Wise, Juniper

  • 1.5 oz Rectified Bourbon or Mad River Distillers Bourbon or Revolution Rye

  • .5 oz maple syrup or 1.5 tsp maple sugar

  • 4 oz Brio, Vivid, or Carrier Roasting coffee

Combine all ingredients in a mug. Top with hand shaken cream.

For the shaken cream:
Fill a 16 oz mason jar half way with heavy cream (Butterworks Farm cream works great!) and add 3 Tablespoons of maple syrup. Shake until it doubles in volume and the whip is thick but still pourable. If you over shake it, it’ll turn lumpy and weird.
